Progressive Skill Development

We don't promise overnight success because that's not how genuine expertise works. This program runs for nine months starting October 2025, with each module building on what came before.

01

Financial Data Foundations

You'll start with spreadsheet automation and basic reporting. Nothing fancy yet—just learning how to make data work efficiently.

  • Excel and Google Sheets macros
  • Data validation techniques
  • Simple automation workflows
  • Report template creation
02

Process Integration Systems

Here's where things get interesting. Connecting different business tools so information flows automatically between them.

  • API basics and integration
  • Workflow automation tools
  • Database connection methods
  • Error handling practices
03

Dashboard Development

Build visual dashboards that actually help people make decisions. We focus on clarity over flashy graphics.

  • Real-time data visualization
  • KPI tracking systems
  • Interactive report design
  • Mobile-responsive layouts
04

Compliance Automation

Australian business requirements are specific. This module covers automated compliance checking and reporting for local regulations.

  • ATO reporting automation
  • GST calculation systems
  • Audit trail generation

Look at existing workflows and figure out what's slowing things down. Then build solutions that actually address those bottlenecks.

  • Workflow analysis methods
  • Bottleneck identification
  • Custom script development
  • Performance monitoring
06

Implementation Projects

The final months involve real implementation work. You'll build a complete automation system from planning through deployment.

  • Client requirement analysis
  • System architecture design
  • Testing and deployment
  • Documentation creation

How Learning Actually Happens

We structure content in short, focused sessions. Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6:30-8:30pm AEST. That gives you time to practice between classes and ask questions when you're stuck.

Each module includes hands-on exercises with real business scenarios from Port Macquarie and regional NSW companies. The assessment isn't about passing tests—it's about building working systems.

By March 2026, you'll have completed six substantial automation projects. Those become your portfolio when you're looking for opportunities or pitching clients.

What Students Actually Build

Financial automation project results and system implementations

Month 3: First Automated Report

Most students complete their first fully automated reporting system around mid-December 2025. It's usually something straightforward like monthly sales summaries or expense tracking.

Month 5: Integration Project

By late January 2026, you're connecting multiple systems. Common projects include linking accounting software with inventory management or automating invoice processing.

Month 9: Complete Implementation

The final project in May 2026 involves building a full automation solution for a real client scenario. Documentation included, ready to show potential employers or clients.
